The Strike Eagle 1-8x24 is a low power variable built for the modern sporting rifle, and it covers the widest realistic range of engagement distances a shooter is likely to see. At 1x with the illumination on it behaves like a red dot, fast and both eyes open. Run it up to 8x and the AR-BDC3 reticle gives you real holdovers for distance.
