I bout a couple of these solar panels for my yard cell cams 2 years ago, after fully charging the panels and setting them up, I haven't touched either cell camera since. The batteries haven't drained below 90% ever. This is the only reliable power source on the market. The mounted panels face south and are angled up slightly to the sky. By far the best solution to power cell cameras.
A great option to extend your cameras battery life. You will get 10x the life in your camera compared to any regular AA Batteries and over 5x longe than Lithiums
I purchased 2 of these for 2 separate cameras mounted in trees for personal surveillance. After charging with my mobile phone cord, my husband easily installed these & have maintained 98-100% charge.
Easy transaction from search to delivery. Highly recommend , their prices with free shipping, beats anyone's. As far as the panels, they charged fast and continue to run my Flex cameras. Thank you, will deal with you again.
Very fast shipping! Charged it and it powered up my Spypoint camera immediately. Planning on installing the setup at my camp for a security camera. Highly recommend, can't beat the price. Wish I had found Freedom USA sooner!
I’ve been using several of these solar panels for a couple months and they’ve been working great. They don’t need direct sunlight to maintain a charge for a cell cam. I’ve been using them with SPYPOINT and Moultrie cameras. I don’t think I’ll ever buy batteries again. One solar panel is only slightly more than what it cost for a set of Energizer lithium batteries for these cameras.
Have had these plugged into 3 Spypoint Flex trail cams for the past few days. They are working fine. All of them are in some degree of shade (facing south), one in closed canopy forest. Cameras are all reporting 95-100% charge. I was a little concerned about the mount, but it works really well. You might need longer screws or a different attachment method if you’re wanting to mount on a small diameter tree. The mount is designed for a flat surface, but works fine on anything 8”-10” in diameter or bigger.
This is a recent purchase but so far it looks good. I only have two comments to share:
1) This should come with a charging cable, given that the manufacturer recommends charging before first use.
2) It was not clear to me from the product description that this unit contains a battery that us charged by the panel. I thought it was just solar and designed to charged batteries in the unit. Great that it has the battery but not immediately obvious from the description!
