Description

The Sig Sauer Lenspen is a pocket sized cleaning tool made for the glass on riflescopes, red dot sights, binoculars and rangefinders. It carries two cleaning stages in one pen shaped body, so you can deal with dust and fingerprints in the field without packing fluid or cloths. Sig sells it under part number SOLCK1 and also calls it the Lens Cleaning Kit.

One end holds a soft brush on a slide up mechanism. Push it out to sweep loose dust and debris off the lens, then retract it so the bristles stay clean inside the body. The other end carries a carbon cleaning compound that picks up fingerprints, skin oil and smudges. Sig also describes the carbon end as useful for clearing carbon buildup from weapon mounted light lenses.

Because it works completely dry, the Lenspen suits a range bag, a hunting pack or a workbench drawer equally well. Sig rates it for more than 500 uses and describes it as safe for all lenses. The body is black and about the size of a pen, which makes it an easy backup cleaning tool to keep with any optic.
