Description
Most small folders shrink the handle along with the blade and end up with something you can only hold in three fingers. The Mini Griptilian does not do that. Benchmade kept the handle thick and heavily textured, so at 3.87 inches closed you still get a genuine working grip, and only gave up half an inch of blade against the full-size model.
That makes it a good fit for trades, warehouse and delivery work where a three inch blade limit applies but the cutting is still real. The serrated section handles banding, rope and packaging strap without you having to switch tools, and the black Cerakote keeps the blade from flashing or spotting.

Common Questions
Mini or full-size Griptilian?
The Mini is about an ounce lighter and 0.13 inch thinner in the handle, with half an inch less blade. Take it if you need to stay under three inches or want less bulk. Take the full-size 550 or 551 if you cut for long stretches and want the extra leverage.
Can the serrations be sharpened?
Yes, with a tapered round rod that fits the individual scallops. Or send it in under LifeSharp and Benchmade will do it at the factory for free.
What is LifeSharp?
Benchmade will clean, oil, adjust and resharpen your knife to a factory edge for free, for as long as you own it. You cover shipping to them.
