Description
The Mini Bugout exists because plenty of people loved the original and still wanted something smaller. Benchmade kept the handle geometry, the open-back build with barrel spacers, and the thin flat-ground blade, then scaled the whole thing down to 3.7 inches closed and 1.5 ounces.
What you give up is roughly four tenths of an inch of blade. What you get back is a knife that genuinely disappears in a pocket, clears blade-length rules in more places, and still opens boxes, cuts cord and preps food without complaint. The grip is short but not cramped, and the lock is identical to the full-size model.

Common Questions
Mini Bugout or full-size Bugout?
If you have large hands or cut a lot of material, take the 535. If you want the lightest possible carry, need to stay under a three inch blade limit, or found the 535 still too noticeable in a pocket, take the Mini.
Is the handle too small for a full grip?
At 3.7 inches closed most adult hands get three fingers on the handle with the pinky wrapping the butt. It is a light-duty grip, comfortable for everyday cutting rather than sustained hard work.
What is LifeSharp?
