Description
Most sub-2.5 inch folders are built down to a price and given a steel to match. The Full Immunity does the opposite. Benchmade put their hardest blade steel, CPM-M4 at 62-64 HRC, into a knife that weighs 2.29 ounces, then wrapped it in machined billet aluminum rather than moulded plastic.
The wharncliffe grind is what makes it useful rather than just small. A straight edge and an inline tip mean every part of the blade contacts what you are cutting, so it opens boxes, trims material and does fine work better than a curved blade of the same length. It is a genuinely legal-friendly size in most places, which is the other half of the appeal.

Common Questions
Will CPM-M4 rust?
It can. M4 is a tool steel with very little chromium, so it is not stainless. The Cerakote protects the coated surfaces but the sharpened edge is bare metal. Dry the knife after use and wipe the edge with a light oil and it will be fine. Leave it wet and you will see spotting.
Why a wharncliffe instead of a drop point?
A straight edge keeps full contact on a flat surface and puts the tip exactly where your hand points it. It is the better shape for detail work and packaging. It is the worse shape for skinning or anything needing a curved belly.
