Description
The Dacian is the least specialised fixed blade Benchmade makes, and that is the appeal. It is not a skinner, not a processing knife and not a defensive tool. It is a 3.54 inch spear point on a slim Micarta handle that does camp chores, food prep, bushcraft and general outdoor cutting without being awkward at any of them.
MagnaCut is what elevates it. At 60-62 HRC it holds an edge through real use and shrugs off moisture, so the knife can live in a pack or on a belt through a wet weekend without attention. The blue denim canvas Micarta is the other half: it feels better in hand the harder you work it, and it ages rather than wears.

Common Questions
How is Micarta different from G10?
Both are resin laminates, but Micarta uses canvas or linen instead of fibreglass. It is slightly warmer and less abrasive in hand, grips better when wet, and takes on a patina over years of use.
Is this a hunting knife?
It can do field work, but it is a general outdoor knife rather than a dedicated one. For skinning take the Saddle Mountain Skinner or Hidden Canyon Hunter, which have profiles built for it.
What is LifeSharp?
Benchmade will clean, oil, adjust and resharpen your knife to a factory edge for free, for as long as you own it. You cover shipping to them.
