Description

The ROMEO5 GEN II ELITE is the updated, ruggedized take on Sig Sauer's compact 1x20mm rifle red dot. This part number is the black model with the Quad Ballistic Circle Dot 2.0 reticle on the standard I-Beam mount, which sets the optic at a 1.41 inch absolute co-witness height. A separate part number covers the same sight on the 1.93 inch tall mount.

The Quad reticle lets the shooter pick from four patterns, from a simple center dot to a circle dot with ballistic holdover points for longer shots. A revised Mangin lens is used for clarity, and the optical design is parallax free. Brightness has 12 steps, 10 for daylight and 2 for night vision, which Sig notes is two more daytime settings than the original ROMEO5 ELITE.

Controls sit on top of the housing and the windage and elevation dials are recessed for protection. MOTAC switches the illumination on with movement and off at rest, and Sig states a 40,000 hour run time from a single CR2032 battery. The sight is rated IPX-7 waterproof and fog-proof, and it clamps to any M1913 Picatinny rail on a modern sporting rifle, carbine or shotgun.
