Description
The Buck 117 Brahma Fixed Blade Hunting and Outdoor Knife is a heavy-duty American-made knife that is know as the mini 119 Special, a hunting knife staple since 1974. The Brahma weighs just 4.9 ounces but has a clip blade with a full tang construction that ensures the knife will stand up to serious use over time.
An aluminum finger guard is integrated into the blade to keep your fingers safe and prevent them from sliding onto the blade accidentally, even when things get messy. Thumb grip ridges also add to a secure grip.
The clip point blade of the 117 Brahma is 420HC stainless steel with a satin finish. The fine tip allows for control, while the wider belly is perfect for deeper cuts.
This is a full tang knife, which means that the unsharpened section of the blade extends the full length of the handle. This eliminates natural weaknesses that can result from the joining of blade to handle.
The handle of this knife is black phenolic with an aluminum pommel/guard.
Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both edge retention and performance. The blade is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC57-58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The 117 Brahma comes with a genuine black leather sheath.
Forever Warranty - Every Buck knife is backed by Buck's Forever Warranty, which guarantees that it will be free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the knife
