Description
The Adira was designed around one problem: knives rust and hands slip. Benchmade answered the first with CPM MagnaCut, a stainless steel formulated to resist corrosion without giving up edge retention, and the second with a fat, heavily textured Grivory handle you can hold onto when it is soaking wet.
Both models here share the same frame at 9 inches open and 5.12 inches closed, the same 3.88 inch blade at 0.114 inch stock, and the same 4.23 ounce weight. The difference is finish and edge. The 18060S runs a stonewashed blade with a partially serrated edge on Depth Blue, which is the setup for cutting rope, line and webbing. The 18060BT-01 is a plain edge with a blue Cerakote blade on Tempest Gray.

Can I use this in saltwater?
MagnaCut is the most corrosion-resistant steel Benchmade offers and the Adira was designed for it. No steel is immune, so rinse it in fresh water and dry it after saltwater exposure. The open-back build makes that easy.
Serrated or plain edge?
Take the partially serrated 18060S if you cut a lot of rope, line, netting or webbing. Take the plain edge 18060BT-01 for cleaner general cutting and easier sharpening.
What is LifeSharp?
Benchmade will clean, oil, adjust and resharpen your knife to a factory edge for free, for as long as you own it. You cover shipping to them.
