Description
The AR Optics 1-4x24 is a low power variable optic designed around how an AR actually gets used. At 1x it behaves like a red dot for close, fast shooting, and a flick of the Throw Down PCL lever takes you to 4x for identifying and engaging targets at moderate range. The 112 foot field of view at 1x keeps you aware of what is happening around the target, and the 3.5 inch eye relief gives you room to work with a wide range of mounts and stock positions.
The illuminated BTR-1 reticle sits in the first focal plane. Its horseshoe and center dot give you a quick aiming reference up close, while the stacked holdover marks below the dot are calibrated for 55 to 62 grain .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO loads with a 100 yard zero. Because the reticle grows and shrinks with the magnification, those holds are correct at any power setting, not just at 4x. Exposed, MIL-based turrets with 0.1 MIL clicks let you dial corrections on the fly, and the fully multi-coated lenses deliver a sharp, bright picture from first light to last. The one-piece 30mm aluminum housing is IPX7 waterproof and fogproof, and the whole package is small enough to pair with offset irons or a backup red dot.

Throw Down PCL Lever
The power change lever folds flat when you do not need it and pops up for a quick, positive grip on the magnification ring. It can be set at two different heights to suit your rifle and your hand.
Exposed MIL Turrets
Windage and elevation turrets are exposed and MIL-based with 0.1 MIL clicks, so you can dial a correction without pulling a cap. The illumination dial sits on the left side of the saddle within easy reach.

A red horseshoe and center dot for speed, with stacked holdovers for 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards built around 55 to 62 grain 5.56 loads. Because it lives in the first focal plane, the holds are true at every magnification.
