Shane Sibert's overbuilt tactical folder. A 3.82 inch CPM MagnaCut blade at 60-62 HRC in tungsten gray Cerakote, on black G10, with a partially serrated edge. At 6.54 ounces this is the heaviest folder in the Benchmade line and it is built that way on purpose.

Description
The Adamas was designed for soldiers, and everything about it reflects that. The blade is 0.14 inch thick, the standoffs and pivot are oversized, the G10 is thick and aggressively textured, and the AXIS lock is built heavier than on the rest of the line. Nothing here is trying to save weight.
At 6.54 ounces it is not an everyday pocket knife for most people, and it is not pretending to be. It is what you carry when the knife might get used as a pry bar, a digging tool or a strap cutter and still has to open the next day. The MagnaCut blade is the modern upgrade over the original D2 version: same toughness, far better corrosion resistance, so sweat and weather stop being a maintenance problem.

Is 6.54 ounces too heavy to carry?
For pocket carry, most people find it is. That is what the included MOLLE sheath is for. If you want the Adamas design in something pocketable, take the Mini Adamas at 4.6 oz.
How does MagnaCut compare to the older D2 Adamas?
MagnaCut keeps the toughness that made D2 work on this knife and adds real corrosion resistance, which D2 lacked. If you sweat on it or carry it in weather, that difference matters.
