Description
The Saddle Mountain Skinner is built for one job and does not compromise on it. The 4.2 inch drop point has a long sweeping belly, which is the profile that lets you skin with the curve of the blade instead of the tip, and CPM-S90V holds that edge through an entire animal rather than fading halfway.
S90V is a trade. It is difficult to sharpen at home and wants diamond stones, but the payoff is that you rarely have to during a season. Benchmade LifeSharp covers the resharpening free if you would rather send it in than fight it.

Is S90V hard to sharpen?
Yes, noticeably harder than S30V, and diamond stones make a large difference. In exchange you sharpen it far less often. LifeSharp will do it free if you prefer to send it in.
What is Richlite?
A dense composite of resin and paper fibre. It gives the warmth and grain of wood but will not swell, crack or absorb moisture, which matters on a knife that gets bloody and wet.
What is LifeSharp?
Benchmade will clean, oil, adjust and resharpen your knife to a factory edge for free, for as long as you own it. You cover shipping to them.
