Frequently Asked Questions
Brand Information for Tactacam trail cameras
Tactacam trail cameras are made to capture the intense action filled moments of hunting. Many models of tactacam cameras can be attached to your weapon and film the hunt as it happens. Some of these cameras can substitute a bow stabilizer, mount directly to a gun barrel, screw mounted into a tree, or film through your scope without obstruction. Tactacam produces regular trail cameras with cellular transmission capabilities as well.
How Do I Mount My Tactacam to My Bow Without Removing My Stabilizer?
You can still attach the Tactacam to your original stabilizer with a gun mount, universal mount, or a handlebar mount. However, the non-symmetric addition of the Tactacam to your bow stabilizer may cause it to shoot differently.
How Do I Mount My Tactacam to a Rifle or Shotgun?
The simplest method would be to use the gun mount to mount the tactacam directly to your rifle or shotgun barrel. Although if you are using a rifle with a scope, you can also get an under scope mount or the film through the scope mount
Why Is My Tactacam Continuously Vibrating?
Since the tactacam does not have a display, it tells you something is wrong by vibrating. Continuous vibration means that there is something wrong with your micro SD card. It could have reached its maximum capacity or may not be compatible with your camera. After you save the videos on your SD card to another device, format it and reinsert it into the tactacam. If the vibration continues, try a different micro SD card.
What Kind of SD Card Should I Use With My Tactacam Camera?
For the tactacam action cameras, you will need to use a micro SD card with a capacity of 32 to 64 GB. A full size SD card will not fit in these cameras. For the Tactacam Revel trail cameras, you will need a full size SD card with a total capacity of 16 to 32 GB.
